Led by our "old cowgirl" Mary Jane Brown, our team's goal for each clinic is to help people improve their horsemanship. Simple as that.
Mary Jane Brown is the lead clinician of MJB Clinics and has been teaching horsemanship for over 40 years and was the 2021 All-Star Trainer Challenge Champion at OHC National Mountain Trail Championships. From Mountain Trail Competitions to Ranch Horse Versatility events, she has a wealth of information to share. She has an encouraging and direct approach and it's always horsemanship first. Mary Jane has judged and taught at some of the premier northwest venues and events including, but not limited to, Bonina, Maxson-Box Stable, B-C Mello Arena, Eastern Slope Ranch, Equine Mania, W Bar M Ranch, Oregon Reined Cow Horse Association, the National Mountain Trail Championships at Oregon Horse Center and more! If you're ready to find out what that might look like for you and your equine partner, check out our CLINIC SCHEDULE. If you are interested in hosting a private clinic or coming to our home ranch for a private event, please contact the Herd Boss at 541-519-7538 to learn more. |

Testimonials
"My decision to train with Mary Jane Brown changed my riding life. Since beginning with her I possess 11 National Mountain Trail Champion titles, 8 Northwest Champion titles at Oregon Horse Center, Cowboy Mountain Trail All Around Cowhand Champion at Walla Walla. I'm now riding my second pony under Mary Jane's tutelage and we are on our way with firsts at Bonina Ranch and CMTC. I am a tentative rider after injuries sustained over the past ten years. My reticence falls aside with the encouragement and confidence I receive at clinics and private lessons. The positive can do attitude I watch from Mary Jane and Sally and Levi has changed the way I ride and helped me achieve my dreams. I've had the privilege of watching other riders grow tremendously in their relationship with their horse and accomplish a level of riding I don't think they even saw as possible. Each rider has their own needs and desires and finding a good fit with a coach is so important. I'm very fortunate to have found my perfect fit." -Stephanie Nelson & River

"I began riding under Mary Jane's guidance 3 years ago. I started with only a clinic or two and felt such a reward and passion after a 15 year hiatus, I wanted more...I cannot say enough about her skills to work with each rider and at each horse/rider level. She ALWAYS goes the extra mile and her willingness to stay late after the clinics are over. She is approachable..... all you need to do is ask. Thank you Sally Jane and Levi Gibson for their assistance and encouragement at these clinics. These two are very talented and have a lot to offer too. I live 4 1/2 hours away from Cambridge and would travel twice that distance for an opportunity to have her share her wisdom. She has a true gift to teach. My confidence has grown with each clinic with my steed. Last year I bought a new horse and dedicated almost 3 months to sessions with Mary Jane. I have won numerous ribbons, a Novice, High Point and an Open buckle this year and hope to compete at the National Championship this winter with my fellow cowgirls. In addition to horsemanship, Mary Jane encourages sportsmanship and to be positive to one another. It is about the relationship of your horse and competitors. I would encourage any person at any level to spend time at one of Mary Jane Brown's Clinics." -Sandy Goble & Henry
